Stickhouse Gelato Opens in Santa Monica Off Third Street

Stickhouse Gelato after long delays has opened in Santa Monica. Logistically its a great location. Tons of foot traffic, lots of tourists, and a lack of dessert options nearby. This is Stickhouse's first LA location but they have franchises all over (including Palestine apparently.) There's plenty of flavor options here but the case is split between sorbets (fruit juice based bars) and gelato (traditionally made with milk instead of cream like most ice cream.) All flavors stick pretty traditionally (is there is a matcha flavor though) for now but expect some Halloween flavors soon. The chocolate dipped italian cake and cheesecake options were a favorite of mine.  Most flavors are pretty good but I do suggest not getting the raspberry cheesecake naked. Its meant to be dipped and is on the tart side without chocolate. Overall Stickhouse is a great option if you are looking for a treat to eat while checking out the Santa Monica Pier or just walking to the beach.
