Le Parfait Paris Puts a Twist on the Typical San Diego Bakery

I have a few essential must stop places when I'm in San Diego. I just added Le Parfait Paris to that list. LPP is a new bakery in the Gaslamp quarter of San Diego. Its owners came from France to bring some French flair  to DT San Diego. Now they have a menu of sandwiches, coffee, pastries etc but I am going to tell you about two things. The Bavarois is sexy French dessert personified. A tower made from custard, cream, gelatin and fruit puree surrounded by macaron cookies. Each bite is smooth luscious with the tang of raspberry puree. Honestly LPP could just sell this and I would tell people to go. They also have a amazing light "French" cheesecake the owner created with three cheeses. Its cupcake sized but even with it being on the lighter side you could split this with someone...or eat two of them yourself for lunch. Feel free to check out other items at LPP but don't forget to get the cheesecake and the Bavarois.
