Oak Grill Gets its Winter Menu.






Oak Grill may be the best spot to dine outdoors in Newport Beach. With its amazing new patio under lantern filled trees along side a giant fire pit Oak Grill makes for some pretty scenery photos. But for me its all about the food.  Chef Marc Johnson has transitioned the menu at sister restaurants Oak Grill/Aqua Lounge for the cooler months. There's more starches and proteins. The new NY steak is a fine piece of meat served with mushroom and asparagus. The thing thats sticks to my mind is dessert.  Oak Grill has an amazing pastry chef and with the new IPA pretzel cheesecake proves Oak Grill is an Orange Coast must try for desserts (you need to try the Rocky Road bar if you are a chocolate lover.) The cheesecake is a mix of berries, beer, and a light crispy pretzel crust. Its one of the best most innovative desserts I have had this year.
