On Tuesday there will officially be two Oinksters open for the people of Los Angeles. Oinkster a Eagle Rock institution now has a kid brother in Hollywood. The thing that makes the Hollywood Oinkster special and the reason owner/chef Andre Guerrero made much a effort to get the space is it has its own parking lot (hey its special for Hollywood.) Besides not having to kill yourself trying to parking Oinkster Hollywood has no roastery chicken (takes up a lot of space etc) they have some new Hollywood exclusive menu items.
New items include the Cluckster, (a fried chicken sandwich with buffalo and ranch sauce) a adobo burger (a Filipino vinegar based marinated pork ) and a tasty truffle aioli. Besides that they have a wide new selection of wines and beers. For me in particular I loved the classic Oinkster chili, The new chicken sandwich (sans anything but the buffalo sauce) and the truffle aioli is good on almost anything on the menu (try it on the chicken and brie sandwich.) They open Tuesday 11am and I predict Hollywood having Oinkster fever.
