Dolce Bakery and Bistro Relaunches With New Gastropub

Dolce Bakery and Bistro in Montclair is a little unexpected. Its a large place in a small city in the I.E.  Alice Lee is trying to give the I.E. some of what she has experienced through her travels. You can see some of of the European and big city influences. While they have always had a bakery they just launched their new Gastropub. With that they are the best place in Montclair for a sandwich hands down. One of their new sandwiches is the Chimichurri its a steak sandwich on a baguette served with a Argentinian steak sauce made with garlic.olive oil, pepper flakes and parsley. Made right this sauce is amazing. Served over grilled steak it could make A-1 jelaous.  Another new sandwich is the mac and cheese with shortrib. Short rib is a slow cooked rich meat thats fall apart tender from the slow cooking process. Matched with mac and cheese in a grilled cheese is brilliant. They have this sandwich at the famous Grilled Cheese Truck but you dont have to wait for a truck to try it here!  I suggest onion rings for a side.
